Jennifer Lopez is now inevitably connected to what I post here. So if anyone's interested, here's her new album entitled, Love? Sure, this was released a week ago - not sure! - but what the heck. It's still worth posting, I think.

For the record, I didn't listen to the whole album, but I enjoyed three of her songs - On The Floor, Papi and I'm Into You. So, that's that. But I read somewhere that the album received mixed reviews from critics - just to give you guys an idea. Enjoy!

Album: Paul McDonald Compilation

One of the readers, Annah, shared this to me a couple of months ago and suggested to post the independent albums of Paul McDonald, which he and his band released prior to his American Idol stint. Well, here it is! I must say, I'm not a fan of his works on Idol, but this is a pretty good stuff! Very nice.

Soundtrack: Grey's Anatomy: The Music Event

Ok. Not that I'm compelled to post it here - I admit, it somehow doesn't work with the blog's niche - but I give rare exceptions. Besides, it's a musical episode of a series - sort of like Glee in scrubs! Haha. Lame, I know.

I admit, I'm not in any way a fan of Grey's Anatomy, but I was told that this episode, which turned out to be a musical, was pretty good. I have yet to see it - or maybe not, it depends - but for people who are interested.. here it is!! Enjoy!

Album: Without Regret - Kimberly Caldwell

Just in case some of you are interested, here is Kimberly Caldwell's debut album, Without Regret. Kimberly placed 7th during the second season of American Idol. Oh, and she dated David Cook for quite some time. Haha.

Now, this album was set to be released sometime April of 2010, but for some odd reason, things just didn't happen. I personally like the lead off track, Desperate Girls & Stupid Boys, as her original single, Mess Of You, didn't do much conceptually. Got to say, even if she was never a favorite - she's not even part of my IDOL 100 - it makes me all kinds of nostalgic to see someone who has been on American Idol so long ago get another chance. Hope she does well with this album!

Album: I Remember Me - Jennifer Hudson

Here is Jennifer Hudson's sophomore album entitled, I Remember Me.

I listened to the whole album and I must say Jennifer really grew from her debut album and I’m glad she got to record songs that she really wanted to do. I think she really created her own sound this time, if a bit very 90s or Whitney. No, the album isn't necessarily something I listen to, but I know there's a good market for these type of songs. That's all.

I'm still thinking if I'll do a track-by-track review of the album or not. Let's see.

Album: American Idol 10th Anniversary - The Hits, Volume 1

Here it is!! On it's tenth season, American Idol released a compilation of - arguably - the biggest hits from American Idol alums.

Again, let me reiterate on the word arguably just because some of the songs in this compilation are a bit questionable. Of course, I understand that they need to put a couple of people who achieved success after Idol aside from the winners, but where are David Archuleta's smash hit Crush or any song from Jennifer Hudson's Grammy winning album? What about the indie success of Elliott Yamin's Wait For You? Ok. I kind of understand that David Archuleta didn't work for RCA - he was with Jive Records - unlike Daughtry, Aiken and Lambert, but still..

Oh, and why did they pick those songs for Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard? I mean, Taylor Hicks had a number one hit with Do I Make You Proud and Ruben Studdard might've been better represented by his song Sorry 2004, instead of a cover of Luther Vandross' song. Just saying.

1. Since U Been Gone Kelly Clarkson
2. Superstar Ruben Studdard
3. Invisible Clay Aiken
4. When I See You Fantasia
5. Before He Cheats Carrie Underwood
6. Takin' It To The Streets Taylor Hicks

8. No Air Jordin Sparks (ft. Chris Brown)

Album: The Sing-Off Season 2: The Studio Sessions

Well, it looks like the 4 finalists of this season's The Sing-Off got to record their favorite performance from the show in studio and iTunes just made it available today! Sweet.

I'm actually glad that every group got to record clearly their strongest performances on the show. I would've picked the same songs for the EP so this is perfect. Here it is!! Crystal Bowersox's debut album, Farmer's Daughter. Her record drops on December 14, 2010.

Now, Crystal sounds great in this record and I think her fans would love it, but personally, I probably won't buy it because I can't see myself listening to more than a couple of the songs over and over again. Still, this is a very nice debut effort that she should be proud of. I'll be writing a track-by-track review of the album - just like any other American Idol albums - which will be posted in the next coming days. So for the meantime, Enjoy!

Album: Adam Lambert Acoustic Live! - Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert releases an Acoustic Live! featuring performances from his Glam Nation and radio tours! This is set to come out December 6, 2010.

Quite frankly, I'm not really a big fan of Adam Lambert but this Acoustic Live! album is just AMAZING. Seriously. The upbeat version of Mad World is crazy good. I love that his voice is front and center in his stripped down take of Whataya Want From Me and Music Again is just pure fun. Now, I have to be honest, I was a bit iffy when he included both Aftermath and especially Soaked in this record because they are just not the strongest tracks on his debut album, For Your Entertainment. But now, I take it back.

I didn't think Aftermath fits him well - because the song got that terrific big rock ballad sound, which reminds me so much of Daughtry - but he worked it out here and I'm now loving the song. However, the biggest shocker for me is the idea of how much I enjoyed Soaked. It seemed a little too Andrew Lloyd Webber-y for me, but I somehow dig it now. I don't know. Haha.

Album: Grown-Up Christmas List - Charice

I had no idea Charice will release a Christmas EP this year. Well, it's out and in this EP, Grown-Up Christmas List, she features three popular Christmas songs, which I think sounds really good. It's surprisingly compelling, it's a remarkably comforting listen and the production is top notch with vocal acrobatics in ample supply. This is actually an impressive piece of work.

Anyway, Charice will be back on Glee for it's post-Superbowl episode, which will air sometime in February. For now, enjoy this EP!

Album: Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album

Here it is, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album! Well, this is the Glee cast's own holiday album, which will be released on November 26, 2010. The album features Christmas songs sung by the Glee cast themselves, Blaine (Darren Criss) and - the very random - KD Lang. Ha! Obviously, the show will also have it's holiday special entitled, Yuletide - no yet confirmed - that will air on December 7th.

Now, as for the album, I think it's wonderful. Seriously. I usually can't stand Holiday albums that sound very generic but since it's Glee we're talking about, they put their own mix in every single track. This is easily the best Christmas album I've heard in recent memory. I'll even go on a limb and say that this excellent collection is one of the most thoughtful and unavoidably festive Christmas albums you'll ever own. A must-have Christmas album! Enjoy!

Album: Pipe Dreams - Mark Salling

Here's Mark Salling's (Puck) new album, Pipe Dreams. According to some unconfirmed reports, this is the reason why his character was suspended for two episodes - conflicts with his contract (?). Interestingly, Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester) is also doing an album and his character, according to reports, will take a time off for Episode 6 and 7. Thus, a substitute teacher played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Anyway, don't fret because Puck will be back the week after The Rocky Horror Glee Show and he’s featured a ton in that episode - it’s basically all about him.

As for his album, it's a bit different than what I was expecting from him. That said, I think that this record got a good mix of jazz, rock and a 60’s folk-beat era sound. Now, is the record any good? Maybe. Although, I'm not so sure if I'm the right person to answer that because this is the type of album that caters to a specific market and, to be honest, I don't think I'm one of them. I'll just let you decide for yourself. Enjoy!
