Music Video: The Last Goodbye - David Cook

So apparently, David Cook debuted his new music video for The Last Goodbye today on iTunes and anyone - at least, from the US - can download it for FREE!! Yes, and I'm not kidding!

The music video is actually kind of silly - in a good way. I didn't expect it to be - for lack of a better term - adorable. It's light, there's a hint of humor and it's a surprising departure from David Cook's usual somber vibe when it comes to his music videos. I like the colors mixed into it and the editing is kind of neat. Plus, it's beautifully shot. Very nice!

Music Video: Farmer's Daughter - Crystal Bowersox

Crystal Bowersox's music video for her debut single, Farmer's Daughter is out from her album under the same namer.

I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with this video. I think it's very powerful and moving all at the same time. This is clearly a personal song for Crystal but I didn't expect the video to be this honest. It's kind of refreshing actually. The concept is clear, the imagery is nicely done and it's just lovely overall. Go check this one out. Enjoy!!

Music Video: When We Collide - Matt Cardle

Here is Matt Cardle's music video for his debut single, a cover of Biffy Clyro’s When We Collide. Well, this looks good although, of course, it has that signature X Factor UK winner music video. So, no surprises there. But I have to say that the video seems to be working overtime to distract the viewers from the actual message of the song. So, I'm hoping - though unlikely - they do a real video - this song deserves it. Enjoy!

Music Video: Sweet Serendipity - Lee DeWyze

Well, it took a couple of hours for me to find a video that I can watch in this area. Apparently, VEVO blocked the video here due to copyright grounds. Sigh. But, whatever! I found one! Haha.

Lee DeWyze's debut music video for Sweet Serendipity off his debut album post-Idol, Live It Up, is here and I think it's cute, if a little too cheesy for my taste. Haha. But, I think the concept fits the song perfectly, the editing is neat and the girl looks incredibly hot. Anyway, the point is this music video is not too shabby for Lee. I think this will appeal to his fans. Enjoy!

Music Video: I'm Doin' Me - Fantasia

Here is Fantasia's music video for second single, I'm Doin' Me, off her third studio album, Back To Me. 

I have to say, this is very different from her first music video, Bittersweet, which was more throwback in terms of the visuals used. In this video, it was both light and somewhat fun - something I've never seen in any Fantasia music video. It was actually kind of refreshing. Enjoy!

Music Video: Say Goodbye - Katharine McPhee

Katharine McPhee is back, sans the blonde hair. Haha.

Well, I didn't expect her to make another music video after Terrified with Chuck's star Zachary Levi. But, what the heck, this is her new music video from her latest album, Unbroken. A few weeks ago, I actually posted this but the video includes with footages from the upcoming faith-based movie, I Am. Good thing, they released a separate video it deserves.

Now, I personally like the colors mixed into this music video. I think this one is beautifully shot and having Jesse Spencer (House) in the video makes this a little interesting to watch. I'm not so sure about the editing though. Well, at the very least, Katharine is back to her brunette self and I hope she maintains the color. Enjoy!

Music Video: Body Work - Ace Young

So, it looks like Kris Allen isn't the only Idol alum with a new music video out. Well, Season 5 Finalist, Ace Young, premiered his new single, Body Work. This will be released in Canada and depending how the single does there, Ace may bring the track to the US. Who would've thought?

The music video is a bit generic with a weird transvestite girl walking in her pseudo-dominatrix attire. I'm not sure about the song but the music video - though glossy - didn't do anything for me. It is just alright.

Music Video: The Truth - Kris Allen ft. Pat Monahan

It's finally here! The premiere of Kris Allen's second single's, The Truth, music video was released earlier on VH1. Aaron Platt directed the video - same man who directed the amazing Live Like We're Dying.

Now, I'm not sure if I like this music video better than Live Like We're Dying but it still has that abstract and a bit artsy feel to it. I mean, there’s nothing cheesy about this video and it’s beautifully shot and edited. Kris looks fabulous, the scenery is striking but Pat Monahan popping up is jarring and just doesn’t make any sense.

Anyway, the online premier of the music video will be released tomorrow. So, just watch this first and then I'll update a higher quality by tomorrow! :) Enjoy!

Music Video: Something 'Bout Love - David Archuleta

Well, here it is! David Archuelta's debut single off his sophomore album, The Other Side of Down, which will be released on October 5, 2010.

I love the simplicity of the video and the fact that David here is telling the story in the background - plus, he looks great. I think the video is pretty much a cross between his Crush and A Little Too Not Over You music videos. That said, this one felt more mature than the other two videos. It's fine, about what I expected.

Music Video: I Didn't Know - Alex Lambert

I fell in love with Alex Lambert’s voice after he sang Everybody Knows and knew that he’d make something of himself after he undeservedly got voted off so early on American Idol.

Now, I love the song when I first heard the demo, and this is even better! Alex definitely has a nice sound. Clever concept on the video and it's beautifully shot. The song itself seems like a reject from Michael Johns’ or Brooke White’s debut album, which is not particularly a bad thing except these two are 31 and 26 years old respectively and adult contemporary artists. Alex Lambert, on the other hand, is just 19. Interesting choice for a first single. I wonder what their strategy is?

Anyway, Alex Lambert is, arguably, the true success story of Season 9.

Music Video: Bittersweet - Fantasia

Here is Fantasia's new music video for her new single, Bittersweet, off her third studio album, Back To Me.

Well, this is a very classy video from Fantasia. I’m not a huge fan of the song itself, but I love the old school R&B throwback style of it. Oh, and I think Fantasia is a natural as an actress. Enjoy!

Music Video: I Will Not Say Goodbye - Danny Gokey

Here is Danny Gokey’s new video for his single, I Will Not Say Goodbye, off his debut album, My Best Days.

Obviously, the song is very personal for Danny because it’s all about losing a loved one. Personally, this is so much better than My Best Days Ahead Of Me, which was so generic. This song is pretty and I think the video is tastefully done with just the brief dedication to his wife at the end.  I get a comforting, hopeful vibe in spite of the individual stories. That being said, and no disrespect, I think it’s time for him to somehow lessen the continual emphasis on her dead wife to sell his music. But that's just me. Enjoy!

Music Video: If I Had You - Adam Lambert

Well, here's another music video from Adam Lambert. His lastest single's music video, If I Had You, debuts yesterday at VH1. This, to me, is the ultimate and perfect Pokemon song. Don't you think? Haha.

I must admit, this video is fun! And Allison Iraheta being part of it, makes the video a lot more cool to watch. Although I think I’m still a little blinded by the lights. Haha. Could do without some of the flashy computer generated effects, I think. But seriously, it really captures his enthusiasm and playfulness, and it’s cool and visually stunning. Enjoy!

Music Video: California Song - Brooke White

So, this is Brooke White's new music video for her, I suppose, third single, California Song. And just like most of her songs in her debut album, High Hopes & Heartbreak, this song is breezy and has that pleasant sound to it. The song has that lightweight feel with indelible melodies. Just pure and beautiful. The video, on the other hand, is just as fun as the song. Sure, it has that that genuine throwback style but I didn't really care much about it. Heck, this music video just made me smile and that's what it's all about. Watch it and enjoy.

Music Video: Terrified - Katharine McPhee (ft. Zachary Levi)

Look! It's the music video of Terrified - one of my favorite tracks in Katharine McPhee latest album, Unbroken. Here, she re-recorded the Kara Dioguardi-penned ditty with Zachary Levi.

Katharine, I think, is probably working some cross-promotion deal with NBC. Currently she’s filming her TV pilot debut with a lead role called The Pink House for NBC. She also guest starred in the Joel McHale comedy, Community, which is NBC. And Chuck - the series - is also in NBC.

As for the music video, I love the video, it's tastefully done and the chemistry between Zach and Kat is surprisingly palpable. Nice story line too! But what are Danny Gokey and Kara DioGuardi doing in a Kat McPhee video? Is that a cross-promotional thing too? Haha. Kidding. 

Music Video: Undo It - Carrie Underwood

Here is Carrie Underwood’s music video for her brand new single, Undo It. Man, she's fierce! This, to me, is one of my favorite tracks in her album and I think it's an awesome crossover song. I don’t like country at all but she, for some weird reason, makes me appreciate the genre. She has definitely come a long way from that stiff kid that was on idol. Great for her!
