So the only model they're going to sell is the Elite Slim one once the supplies on the current Arcade and Pro are out?
It's not call an elite or a slim. It is just called Xbox 360 and then the Hard Drive size. My friend at gamestop said there should be a different model (either with a smaller hard drive or no hard drive) coming before the end of summer, due to their current xbox 360 arcade inventory.
Also, Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/18/new-xbox-360-gets-a-proper-teardown-analysis-power-and-noise-re/) has a breakdown of the insides of the system. The system is quieter and uses less power.

They also said that there probably won't be a price break/reduction in the near future. Soif you were planning on picking up a 360, the current model is 50 bucks cheaper than the slim.

I hate to say it but the situations not looking good. If I were you I wouldnt go into there for a while (2+ weeks) and then next time you go in dont make eyecontact with her. Then if she aproches you ask her.

Well, the only airline I remember which had seat-back displays for all passengers was WestJet. I just flew United and the smaller planes didn't even have an in-house audio system, let alone video.
But this is a great idea.
(Side note: Having listened to it for the first time on this flight, I really appreciate airlines that put the air traffic control traffic on one of the audio channels. It was neat -- and somewhat comforting -- to know exactly what my pilot was doing up there.)

i actually think apple will probably come up with something that takes existing features/wants/needs of current smartphones/3G phones/etc. and defines/redefines the category somehow, much the way the iPod, while still doing things other players did when it was released, defined all HD based players after it.

Generally, Apple's products are true innovations. One would only hope that the iPhone would follow that track record.

I ordered mines online at around 12 am. I wonder if there's any chance the beta key is going to come this weekend. Should I call my local Gamestop store to claim it or do they not have any power over to do anything?

When I used a PC I used to use Cool Edit Pro, which then changed to Adobe Audition. So I'm delighted that they are creating a new product, particularly as I hate the only other real contender - Bias Peak.
I've been using Audacity, but it just not advanced enough sometimes.

I totally agree. Why anyone would hold out for that color and why Apple spent so much time trying to get that white paint to work properly is beyond me.

Writing this from Leopard, Its such a great upgrade I loveee it and OMFG the queue was insane xD Gald to say I was 4th coming away with 2 shirts (Sorry if you didnt get one xD Heh I waited 3 hours :P Which flew by) The amount of people that pushed pissed me off. Probably. I'm not buying Leopard since I'm going to pick up a shiny new iMac I think.

I like the MasterCard� PayPass� idea but you still need to take out a card and deal with your wallet
PayPass is an implementation of NFC. You don't need to take it out of your wallet.
In fact I have four NFC cards in my wallet and the all work without taking them out. The reader seems to know which one to use (transport, car sharing, door access and paypass)
