All the above answers are favor to the employer and not to us (employee).
Can any of you help by posting some ideas (for changing the employer before 180 with the approved i140 and EAD cards) in favor of the employee bcz i am really very sad about my situation. plz help brothers !!

I think it makes a lot of sense in what Janakp is conveying. These online petitions are no good and will achieve nothing. It is better we meet our congressmen/senators and convey these issues to them or their staff.

Had the visit. Went very pleasant but fruitless. Officer told me all checks except "background" check had been done. Beyond this, she refrained from making any usefull remark.:rolleyes:

I am on same boat. Mine and my wife case also transfered from Texas to Orlando,FL.My PD is EB2 sep06 and we filed 485 July2nd'07.140 approved in March07.
We never worked in FL state.
My case is tranfered on 8th April'08 and a LUD today(9th April 08).

Visitor Visa does not tied to sponsor. One can visit USA with a valid visitor visa.
But at port of entry, may need to prove who is taking care of them when they are here. They may need supporting documents from you at port of entry.

I got my receipt numbers for I 485,I131 and I 765.
i got them by calling USCIS yesterday.
Mailed on:June 28th
Received date:June 29th at NSC
Notice date:July 23rd.

In my approved I-140 i had a A number, both the numbers are different
While filing the forms for 485/EAD/AP and I-693 ( medical report ) i saw a field for A number
Which number must i put in the field

I applied for my H-1 extension in mid April and my current H-1 is valid till mid August. After reading about the waiting times in the posts above I am wondering what happens if I don't get the approval until mid August. Will I be out of status ?

Great, so I see so many fast cases here.
I had all my docs well organized, also put tabs corresponding to the list numers on cover letter for quick access. I also included self addressed prepaid priority envelope.
I paper filed at TSC on Dec16th got approval on Jan11th, the pace is pretty good considering the holidays in between.
There are several factor which helps aid in faster processing of the applications, mainly the required docs has to be in order and complete.

Funny that this lawyer is Ok with transferring H-1b, but does not want to accept an EAD. .
It's obvious. This lawyer wants to make money for applying H1-b (transfer ~ $5000 typically). If you use EAD he gets zilch.:D:D:D:D:D:D

EAD and AP are benefits due to AOS pending. They are not status by itself. Thus it is optional while filing 485. Once you file 485, you are automatically in legal status to stay in US. H4 status enables you to reentry to US. Similarly, if you loose H4 for some reason ( like in Ur case), AP will allow your spouse to reenter USA.
Please consult an attorney.

I agree and appreciate whatever IV is doing to improve the situation of people who is on the immigration Path Employment or Family.
But yesterday I was watching the media, none of the media even just marginally said about our EB immigration. back log. what steps IV has taken so far to get the media attention? it is very said media equating immigration = Illegal.
Please work towards that too.

I did my footer in Photoshop 7, exported as .png and imported the images into Flash MX. Added a little actionscript and *bam*, I got me a new footer.
