When I sent express recently, the USPS person at the counter said it is not certified. I was under the asumption that whatever gives tracking number is certified. Can someone enlighten me plz?

I filed Concurrently I485 and I140 on August 13 . I have recieved the application rejected notice due to missing signatures on the financial statement by my employer (Hard luck i guess or smartness by employer dont know). As per USCIS statetment they have requested to complete the Application as signed and sent back including the fee and form.
The notice havent mentioned to refile with new fee . COuld anyone please advise on urgent basis
if new fees is required ?
Would i still be assigned old processing date or it would be considered as new application ?
As per my research USCIS should accept the Old Fee..we never know they may reject...as a safe side refile the application as per the notice and write a separate check for the diff amount of old and new fees.Along with the check include a letter mentioning about the new check.

hi Guys,
I was thinking over this for quite some time. Why dont we hire one or two immigration attorneys on a full time basis. And lets start am immigration office where we can have all our immigration works (doubtful) but the future immigrant works ata marginally cheaper rates with high quality of service. If we keep a no profit no loss mantra, it would be helpful to everyone and also it will make this organization very strong.
Lets discuss its relevance? What does the Core think about this.?
Wow! out of 20k, 300 people have signed up for monthly contributions. Here we are thinking about hiring a couple of attorneys for the whole org. Sounds ideal, but there are many reasons why applicants will still have to go with the lawyer, their employer picks.

My Lawyer put the A# from the EAD used during OPT. She put OPT in brackets and mentioned to me that USCIS will change this A#.

From my experience, Crows are black everywhere. Unless you join non-desi company. it is hard to find desi company who keeps everything in black n white.

I hope this means that the supervisors at the service centers involved are now aware of the blatant illegality of these types of denials and will put and end to them in the future. We can only hope that we have seen an end to this nonsense.:mad:

I am EB3-India with PD July-2005. On 3/10/2009 USCIS issued an RFE. It is about job verification/continuation. USCIS wants my employer to verify that future job is still available.
My paralegal said and I quote, USCIS is issuing this kind of RFE on almost every case. Present economic situation might be the main reason behind it.

nothing to worry about, it happened to me too,
I opened an SR and two weeks later my wife got FP and I didn't, I thought I'll wait for a week or two but in vain. When I gave a follow-up call I came to know that FP was scheduled at my Attorney's place (I live in west coast and I was scheduled to attend FP at ASC in East coast) and the twist is my attorney never received it.on top of it when I asked the Rep about possibility of scheduling an FP at my place she advised me to file AR-11 form, at this point it was very clear to me that Rep doesn't have a clue on what she is talking about. the very next day I was luck to get hold of nice rep who said I quote
" I don't understand why these people schedule FP at attorney�s location"
he apologized and said he will open an SR to reschedule at my location and he assured me that this time it will be at my location, which I got in couple of weeks.
Hope you will get your FP notice soon.

i have no particular affinity for either democrats or republicans (and since i cannot vote - dont care much either) - but not everything in this list is bad......
1. almost no other country has an unqualified birth-right on citizenship........so, if americans at some point want this changed - this is well within their rights.......however, constitution amendment process is so complex in this country ( i believe all states have to ratify or something like that) - it is near impossible.
2. balanced budget is not a bad idea - deficit financing ad infinitum does not make much sense
3. most of us dont like tax hikes - so if GOP folks agree with that view - whats wrong with that?
4. Estate Tax is just the Govt's way of destroying individual wealth even after death - repealing it is actually a fairly good idea.
the unfortunate reality is that both parties have some good ideas and some nutty ideas and the pity is we cannot choose what we like best from each - the set of beliefs is a like a package deal - you get the good with the bad.........
1. The 14th amendment is what this country created as a result of the civil war to end slavery. The congress-critters thinking of repealing this amendment either have forgotten their history or are evil in ways people have not understood.
2 and 3. Expectations of a balanced budget is an excellent example of not understanding the consequences of previous policies. Either a. reduce spending or b. increase taxation.
Neither is acceptable, but we still want a balanced budget. When I was young, I learnt these basics of supply and demand by carefully managing my pocket money. I suppose the rich congress kids never had to think like that.

Yes I feel at the end of the day most people were against amnesty, and other Bills for Illegals kind of would have lead to it inspite of promising not to (backdoor).
This was all in spite of them having spent millions of dollars over more than 4 years, along with campaign contributions, processions, strong lobbying and what not, and still no change in law to show for it - back to square one.
They have a huge advantage over Immigration voice in terms of donors and funding available, which needs to change.

If senior citizens have to travel frequently from India to the Bay area (California) what is the most preferred airlines?
Points of comparisons would be pricing (frequent flyer discounts), leg room, optimum layover, wheelchair facility, good in-flight attendance, food and so on...the experience with the emirates has been ok thus far.
emirates didn't provide the wheel chair at the airport although it was made available in india and sfo. also the leg from dubai to sfo is very long.
please share your experiences and provide your feedback.

It is absolutely fine to write to editors etc. but if you are planning a sustained campaign, it is best to coordinate with the media team lead by Sunil. It is always good to convey the same message from all our outlets.
Also, I urge everyone writing and calling media to keep it civil, DO NOT DENIGRATE other groups, just focus on our issues, and stay polite.
