American Idol 10: Top 3 Studio Versions

Second to the last set of studio versions this year for American Idol!! Time flies so fast no? Anyway, here are the studio versions for this week where the contestants covered three song each, but only recorded a song to be released. I wonder why that is.. Oh, they had homecomings this week. Fine.

RANDOM THOUGHTS: Somehow, Lauren Alaina's studio version of If I Die Young is possibly one of the best recordings this season. Her vocals are shockingly powerful on this tune and she sounds very contemporary. Why can't she bring this on her live performances? Haley Reinhart, on the other hand, is also pretty good. I like her riffs, those jazzy phrasing and the dynamics of her vocals are pretty impressive. Scotty McCreery is, well, the usual Scotty McCreery. That is all.
