This week, they performed songs of
Elton John - a theme that was last tackled on Season 3. It's interesting how less than half of them covered songs that were previously done on the show compared to the 10/11 overdone performances from last week's
Motown .
Oh, and notice how one song got covered so many times - currently the most covered song on American Idol history along with
Against All Odds - that 4 of them went on to become JUST runners-up on their respective seasons, one 3rd placer and the other one got eliminated on a Top 13 season. Cursed song? Let's see the fate of the contestant who covered it this season.
